About

Why this blog exists

My name is Nicolas. I'm a protanope, strongly deuteranomalous and slightly tritanomalous. This blog came out of a simple observation: there are few resources on color blindness that are at once accurate, accessible and kind.

What you'll find here

Articles on the genetics of color blindness, its different types, the tests available, and practical tips for daily life. No sensationalism, no victimhood: just clear information, drawn from personal experience and the scientific literature.

The site also offers an interactive color discrimination test. It doesn't replace an eye exam, but it can be a useful first indicator.
